Elton John Concert Schedule
|
If you just love Elton John, then you will be happy to know that I found Elton John concert schedule for the rest of the year. He will be tearing up concert halls from July 21st to December 16th. This will be an international tour, starting in Tucson Arizona and ending in Dublin Ireland. This is going to be an amazing tour. Going international is going to make it that much better. I would love to catch the last show in Dublin and make it a vacation. Who wouldn't want to be in Ireland over Christmas? Ok, I'm sure some of you don't want to be, but why don't you catch one of his other shows. As I am looking at Elton John's concert schedule, I am noticing an Arizona, California, Nevada, Monte Carlo, Milan and two shows in Rome. Then it's on to Germany and then Dublin. Excellent tour Elton! Some fun facts about Sir Elton John, he was born Reginald Kenneth Dwight in 1947. He started his first band, Bluesology in 1961. He became international in 1970 with his song righteously titled Your Song. Between 1970-76 he recorded an astonishing fourteen albums including Goodbye Yellow brick road and that album stayed at the top of the music charts for 2 solid months.
Elton John's concert schedule remained full and in 1974 performed onstage in NY at Madison Square Garden with John Lennon and performed John Lennon's Whatever gets you through the night. Unfortunately, this was to be John Lennon's last performance. In 1992, Elton John established an AIDS foundation in the United States to help those suffering with HIV and related diseases.
In 1997, Elton John's Candle in the wind dedicated to the late Princess Diana, has held the record for the highest selling single ever, over 33,000,000 copies sold world wide. He became Sir Elton John in 1998 when Queen Elizabeth bestowed the honor of Knighthood on Elton. In the years to follow, Elton John has remained a strong figure in the music industry. Elton John's concert schedule consisted of over 240 shows performed at the Caesar's Palace Colosseum in Las Vegas. The Red Piano exceeded all expectations and in 2008 was released on DVD. On March 25th 2007, marking his 60th birthday, Elton John's concert schedule allowed for his 60th concert at Madison Square Garden in NY. This, by the way, is a record that no other entertainer has come close to matching let alone breaking. in 2008, opening at The Empire Theatre on Broadway, Billy Elliot the Musical opened and received a record 10 Tony Awards in 2009. Elton John's concert schedule in 2009, boasts a whopping 92 public concerts. These were performed either with his band, or Billy Joel, Ray Cooper, or on his own. Elton John's concert schedule won't be lacking in 2010 either. He is touring with his band, and again with Billy and Ray. So all you Sir Elton groupies, get your calendar out and start marking the dates. Elton is still sharing his music with us all and we thank you for it.
